Finally! You can participate in online child care training when you need it, without leaving the comfort of your own home. Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the online child care classes at Child Care Lounge.

What states have pre-approved Child Care Lounge online classes? |

How does an online class work? |
|
When you register, you will receive an email WITHIN 24 hours that will tell you the URL location for the class content. There you will find a step by step guide for reading the class material and completing any activities. There are worksheets included in the lesson. When you satisfactorily complete the worksheets and return them to us, we will review your work and issue you a certificate. |

Can I use these classes towards my CDA requirements? |
| You may use these classes to meet the educational requirement that you need for the 120 clock hours you need for the CDA, The Child Development Associate. This credential is granted by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition. Please contact them for more information. How can I pay for the classes? |
|
Each class registration page has a link to PayPal. It is a free service that lets you pay with check or credit card. Your order can be processed very quickly this way. To pay by check, credit card or money order via mail or fax: Click Here for Printable Order Form. |

Can someone else pay for me? |
| Yes, Make sure they put your name and email address on the order form. Be sure that your name is on all the worksheets and evaluation form so that you receive credit for the class. |

How long does it take before I receive class information? |
| We complete order information manually. If we receive your PayPal order between 11am-11pm eastern time on weekdays, you will usually receive your class information within three hours. At other times, you should receive your order within 24 hrs, usually sooner. If you are ordering via post mail, we will email you when we receive payment. |

What if I don't get my class information? |
|
If you do not receive your class information within 24 hrs, please alert us! You can use our Contact Us form. (Be sure to check your junk folders and spam filters in your email program.) Yahoo will put mail from us in your bulk mail folder!! Also, please contact us if more than 10 days have passed since you mailed payment. |

What are the requirements for credit? |
|
You need to complete all worksheets and assignments. We ask that you post on the message board and complete an evaluation form as well. |

How do I post on the message board? |
|
Each class will ask you to respond to a topic on the message board. If you are a first time visitor, you will need to register your own user name and password. (There is a register link at the top of the page). You can post as soon as you register for free. |

How much time do I have to complete the online class? |
| You may complete the online child care classes at your own pace. Once or twice a year, we do send out email reminders if you have incomplete work pending. |

I don't have reliable internet access, can I still take the class? |
|
Yes, you can print out the reading and work and mail the worksheets to us. If you have no email access, you can register and specify that we mail you hard copy of the all the material. ($5 handling fee per class). |

How long does it take to get a certificate? How are they sent? |
|
Traditionally, we will issue you a certificate within two weeks after we have received and reviewed your work. Please let us know if you wish for us to fax, email or mail your certificate, and we will send your certificate in the format you prefer. There is a $10 fee if you need us to expedite (within 72 business hours) your certificate earlier than two weeks. Please note: We will only issue a certificate when all work is completed and we cannot guarantee that will be able to do so sooner than 72 business hours, but we will try!) |
