Learning Through Play-Online class

Description- This training is designed for caregivers and educators of children of all ages. Students will learn about the importance of play in the early childhood curriculum as well as ways to support and promote learning through play.

Learning Objectives- As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

• State the general benefits of play
• Identify specific skills that are learned through play activities
• Identify how to meet developmental goals with play activities
• List ways that a provider can support and encourage learning through play
• Select and evaluate toys for learning

Completion Criteria for Credit

1. Read class material
2. Complete letter to parents in lesson one
3. Complete 4 worksheets- You will receive these as email attachments
4. Share with other students on the message board.

Value- Completion of the class is worth five clock hours.

Credit-A certificate will be mailed to you upon completion.

Online Classes at Child Care Lounge: Do they count?

Enrollment- To enroll You may pay for the class by check or through Paypal. The registration fee is $17. You will be sent the URL for the class as well as the 4 required worksheets either through email or snailmail ($5 handling fee) as you request. Upon completion I will mail you a certificate.
