Online Child Care Training Approved in Virginia
Anyone, anywhere is welcome to enroll in one of our online child care classes. If your state does have a training approval process, that information is detailed below. Your state may not specifically approve trainings toward the required hours of professional development that you need each year. If so, you may use these classes! Please note that you may also use these class hours towards 120 hours needed for the CDA certificate.
- Classes are accepted by Virginia's Department of Social Services to be used toward staff development annual training hours, as per the Criteria for Provider Training document. Debra O'Neill, Licensing Consultant, states, "While on-line courses/classes
may be used as part of an individual's annual training, to determine
whether any one individual's coursework will be accepted towards their
annual training required by licensing standards, individuals are
encouraged to work with the licensing inspector assigned to their
facility or home."
