Child Care Lounge is an approved sponsor organization with the Georgia professional Development System (GPDS) All classes are accepted by Bright From the Start. Anyone, anywhere is welcome to enroll in one of our online child care classes. Please note that you may also use these class hours towards 120 hours needed for the CDA certificate.

Georgia FCCLH Pre-Service Course

Family Child Care Learning Home (FCCLH) applicants in Georgia must obtain a minimum of 10 hrs of pre-service training that has been approved by the Department in order to submit a license for a FCCLH, as required by FCCLH rule 290-2-3-.04 (2) (b) in the Rules and Regulations Family Child Care Learning Homes. This training course meets that requirement

    • Upon instructor review and successful completion of a class, we will send you a Bright From the Start certificate reflecting the class title, student name, hours of training, training and trainer code, and date of completion.

    Re-certification Professional Development for Public School Teachers

    Georgia-Once you receive a Clear Renewable Certificate in Georgia, it is valid for five years. During that five-year period, in order to be eligible for renewal you must: *Complete 6 semester hours of college course work from accredited Georgia colleges/universities; or *10 credits of Georgia Professional Learning Units; or *10 credits of U.S. Department of Education Teacher-to-Teacher Workshops; or *10 credits of continuing education units under the International Association for Continuing Education Units (IACET)
